La Leche League, Bath
We are a free, friendly monthly group and we warmly welcome all mothers and pregnant women interested in breastfeeding. Babies, toddlers and older siblings are welcome at all meetings. We begin by holding an informal discussion around a chosen topic but often mothers choose to talk about issues affecting them in the here and now. The emphasis is on helping mothers to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, information and encouragement.
Leaders Hannah and Mara are on hand after the discussion to speak privately about individual queries.
Refreshments are available throughout the meeting, and there is also a free library service of relevant books and other information on hand.

We raised over £300, a stunning effort from everyone. The sun shone for us as we all met at Alice park, scooters, bikes, and toddles all eager to get onto the famous Alice park race track! Well done all! And thank you for your efforts! Small people raced away as mamas and papas chatted and relaxed in the sunshine on picnic blankets, sharing delicious snacks, and oohed and ahhhed as we watched Lorna (age 5 1/2) cuddle and love Artemis our newest member of La leche league bath, six days old today (Congratulations Roma, Jamie, and Zephyr). It was a really special afternoon, as we all connected and shared time together, definitely worth doing, even without the raising money bit - thats just an added bonus for the group! So watch this space as we arrange more get togethers....and fundraising dates!! And in the mean time look out for new books to be added to our fantastic library! Hannah and Mara |
